Good afternoon,
Wow we had quite the noisy and windy t storm last night along with loads of rain. I welcome the rain here because many years we get very very little rain in the summer months.
I grabbed the camera this morning as the Iris's are looking lovely this year. I had replanted all the bulbs a couple years ago-the roots need to be divided every few years

ReplyDeleteThank you Erika, yes it brightens my day to see the blooms-I have been working on more perennials here at the lake too-I brought over the iris's that Larry and I bought from the "flower lady" near the woods property-she had acres of iris's My black iris from her didn't make it here. I love my Grandma's peonies-I have moved them with me where we live hugs
DeleteOh Kathy these flowers are amazing. A bit of rain changes everything. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteThank you-it does!
DeleteOh how lovely! Your flowers are so ahead of mine. I left irises behind in my old garden; maybe I need to replant a few here and there. Mary @ hilltop post
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary, we have had a lot of rain and quite a few very warm days this month-I think the peonys are really early blooming this year more rain today-hugs
DeleteAwww, you have flowers that go all the way back to your Grandma - that is lovely, Kathy! Hugs to you and the lake. Hope you get some rain, too.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Iris-yes the peonies are special for sure-I brought them down to the woods property back in 2000 so when we moved to the lake house I dug up several big clumps to enjoy here more rain again today
DeleteLike my wood-strawberries I dug out with my Mom in 1974 - they´re here in Braunschweig now.
DeleteWow you have iris and peonies already. My tulips and daffodils are just blooming now. How wonderful to have your gramma's. Just lovely. I dont have either flower here at this house. my old house I did though. Every color of the rainbow in irises. We have too many ants here for me to even have a peony. Dot want more of them. I will just enjoy seeing your beautiful flowers for now. Janice
ReplyDeleteGood morning, this month we have had several very warm-hot days along with a lot of rain so the blooms are early for sure. There are so many iris's to choose from for sure. we bought the bulbs from a lady that had acres of them and sold them. we do have a lot of ants here too at the lake house-not sure why. the peonies are not close to the house though
