This & That (Art and Crafts)

   Good Morning Thursday,

We woke up to clouds and a light rain this morning but still spring temperatures here-not complaining at all Smiles. The temperatures will be dropping though

I wanted to share a mini flower pounded pillow I had made over 20 years ago now-during the first few years that we retired to the woods in Missouri.

Back then I had an Etsy shop for awhile, and sold several of these. I was also doing the leaf printing on to fabrics and I sold several blouses of that. I really enjoyed that process along with natural dying.

I slow stitched around the flower pounded areas, some of them I needle felted wool on to them, added beads in the middle and that glass heart bead at the bottom  I had kept this one for  myself

Here are the pens I found by Crayola in my stash-I really like these I have not seen these sold in our small wal mart store but I really like their products-I had bought several different items from their online store. Their items come in tins-which I love.

Here is what I tried these out on

For once I was really happy with the flowers.

One more friend got their Christmas postcard in the  mail this week, but I had two international come back to me-the one to Mia I forgot to add Athens-sigh  not sure why Lisca's came back   I still have packages that I ordered from Etsy a month ago that have not arrived-our postal system needs to be fixed.

It's almost the weekend coming up-any plans??

  1. I love your flower painting! It's really beautiful! I have yet to try out the felt tip pens in my art. I know it's quite popular, but I think I may pass on that.

When i started drawing and coloring etc... a friend where i worked at Lowe's was an artist and seeing i was using crayola he said if you ever try Prismacolor or one of the better artist brand pencils you'll never go back... and he was righ... 1. Good afternoon, I think today is our last warmer weather day too we are in the low 60's and had a nice rain today no wind as of yet- Thanks about the artists pens--I figured since I found them again would use them up-they do have rich colors which I like-and cover very well too.

  6. Dear Kathy, what a beautiful, cozy cushion you've sewn! Wonderful.
Your flowers turned out so pretty; they remind me of the little wild violets that bloom in my garden in April and May. They're so lovely.
It's snowing quite a bit outside; it looks beautiful. I'm going for a walk later in my warm winter boots; they have excellent soles with lots of tread. They're great for trudging through the snow... a short stroll :-)))
    Warmest regards, Viola
