Finally Back Online

Hi Everyone, just minutes ago got back online. Turns out when I plugged in a lamp to work on my bag project-it blew out the 6 plug strip which is a surge protector-so perhaps that saved my computer?

We have warmed up to spring like temperatures here so went grocery shopping and bought a new surge protector strip.

This house was in really bad shape when we bought it-didn't listen to husband when he said how bad it was here-I loved the view though haha and this is in a rural area which I wanted too, The electric needs to be updated here-big time-so I am just usually really careful.  I have plugged that lamp in before along with the iron before too-so won't do that again

Will be back later to check your comments on my previous post.

Missed you all hugs

  1. Woot woot... you are back in my feed! Missed you too! So glad it didn't start a fire....! My inlaws had a plug behind the couch in their trailer catch fire year ago.. Could have been bad but thankfully did not happen at night when everyone was sleeping... Looking forward to your posts again!! Hugs! deb

    1. I was wondering that too if it could have caused a fire-I heard a pop but thought it was the lightbulb figured it was directv streaming issues. but since we have everything stream-including phone and computer with the co op electric here-figured it could have been them too.
so I had no tv or computer--so read more than usual, and painted every day, and started reading the bible January 1st
I remembered all the different art pens etc I had bought online from crayola-all my art stopped with Larry's accident-over 2 years ago-so I pushing myself to get back to more normal for me-and I am still losing weight-not sure what to do about that. down to 107 just under 120 is a better weight for me
Hugs from the spring like lake today

  2. That was good that you didn't blow out more things. And that you didn't need a new computer. I'd say the surge protector did it's job. Happy new week Kathy. hugs-Erika

  3. Kathy. glad to read that only the surge protector needed to be replaced and not anything major, like your computer. Old houses always need a lot of attention as we well know from owning ours in VA. Now, when something fails, we just alert building management. Today, maintenance replaced a leaky kitchen faucet so no work or cost for us.

  6. You are lucky that Larry knows how to take care of electricity. If anything happens here with electricity we call an electrician. We can take care of some things but faulty electric is scary. Surgery protectors are great!
