Good Morning Sunday

 Good Morning Friends,

We are enjoying spring like temperatures-some days close to 70's F others highs 40's and 50's F Some with sunshine some cloudy. Yesterday lots of fishing boats on the lake, today cooler with rain.

I did get my second slow stitch bag all finished yesterday and even got it in the mail. So two are now sent off-I did forget to take a photo of the second bag finished but that's ok. My next one is ready for the slow stitches over the bag front-which is the fun part for me. Going forward these bags will include other hand dyes and eco prints along with my own dyed fabrics, and kantha fabrics.  I did save out some of my favorite hand dyes for the bag to keep for myself.  It does feel good to get back to my crafts again. I have really enjoyed this slow stitch project.

I have lost a lot of weight and muscle mass over the last year-so I don't think I am strong enough to use the weed eater to cut all that grass any more. So I splurged and ordered in a Worx battery operated lawn mower. Of course Fedex did not bring the big box down the steps to the house-like they are supposed to-so I dragged it into the garage. I like the Worx brand Hoping this is not too complicated for me to set up It weighs around 50 pounds so that is still heavy for me.  I will need to clear the grass of rocks and tree limbs but should go faster now to get the large yard mowed

First warmer day after a good rain-I need to dig out that ornamental grass that is long overdo getting out of the big pot-and transplant it to a spot we set up for it near the lake front.  Larry wanted it there to hopefully attract nesting geese or ducks.

I have been kinda lost with no sports to watch now that the Olympics is over-but I did find that hockey is still going on so watching the St Louis Blues play.

Enjoy your Sunday and new week ahead.

  2. I like battery operated tools. I've been slowly collecting them for my yard work. But we don't have a battery lawn mower yet. The hubby says our gas one is still working so well he doesn't think it's worth spending the money on a battery one. But I said I would only cut the lawn if we got a battery one. Well, that means he needs to keep cutting the lawn I guess...grin. Enjoy the new month and the warmer weather. hugs-Erika

  3. With all our warm weather ... some weeds are beginning to grow.. but thankfully we have not had any moisture to really get them going... Looks like that may change with rain predicted... then the season REALLY begins.. I hope the mower is easier on you.. is it self propelled? My weedeater is acting up... don't' tell me i need another new one..uuugh.. motor seems fine but it won't feed the line.. a real pain to stop every few minutes and manually feed the line.. Do you have some handweights or something in mind to address your muscle loss? Sometimes you get a project finished and just want to get it sent off to the person it belongs too... I've forgotten to take pictures so many times... its just not on your mind...lol Take care Kathy!! Enjoy your nice weather! Hugs! deb

    1. don't know if it is self propelled or not-have not opened the box-since they left it on top of the steps-fedex is Not suppose to do that- I have been walking fast in the house for a couple of weeks-but the day I did twice-morning and late afternoon it set me back ugh.
I used to have hand weights thinking I left them at the woods house was thinking of getting some again.
I love my weed eater from the same company-I have been using it to cut all this grass for several years now-no issues so far take care

  5. I'm allergic to gas and we bought a battery mower and weed whacker years ago and EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it, I'm thankful for these two items. Game changer. 110 percent IMO, worth the money.
