Good morning Monday,
Were you able to see those planets in the sky last night? We were cloudy most of the day with rain late afternoon into the night-sorta like a spring rain-nice. So could not see the planets maybe tonight
Before winter I had found a company here that sold freeze dried fruits and veggies-I shared this I think at the time.
I had not realized that the bananas I purchased were not freeze dried but fried with sugar-not what I wanted or could eat-my mistake for not reading the description but the company did give me credit on next purchase. I mostly bought veggies, but I did buy freeze dried sliced strawberries-I finally opened the #10 can last night and Wow these are fabulous!
So to keep them fresher and air tight I grabbed that Mason Jar vacuum sealer and I was able to fill 7 pints. There were just a few crumbled ones on the bottom of the can, so I added those to my oatmeal mix-I make myself a bowl of oatmeal every morning-changing it up a bit with different add ins.
(sorry for the poor quality of the photos-I have been looking into a better quality digital camera, but those are just too expensive now)
Half way through sealing the jars I was having issues-thought perhaps that some of these are vintage jars-but no this just needed charging-first time it has needed a charge since I bought it, so that lasts a long time
Yesterday I did start slow stitches on the 3rd bag-liking it so far I have a huge collection of embroidery threads to choose from-I am sewing with 3 strands. Some were gifted to me-hand dyed varigated-those are really nice, my own huge collection from two Grandma's, my Mom, and my late sister's threads-So I have a huge variety of colors to choose from.

I am sorry to hear about your doctor and prescription issues. Those strawberries look great.
ReplyDeletethe rural health care is pretty poor in this area-sadly. I am sooo happy with these strawberries

DeleteSorry about the hassle with the doctor. I don't get why they can't call in the medication, they do have your paper work at the clinic, so what's so difficult about that? I hope all of this gets sorted out at your next appointment.
ReplyDeleteI agree this is the third doctor change in 5 years since we moved to the lake house-this was not an issue before
DeleteYou are so resourceful, Kathy! This is wonderful! I am sorry about the difficulties you had with the doctor. Hugs.
