Good morning,
It is mid-week already and soon we will be into March-which brings us closer to Spring--happy about that. Smiles
Last night while waiting for the State of the Union speech to begin, I sat down to decide what to paint.
I had a background already painted in with watercolors. I am still working on trees, so my reference was from that spiral Chinese book I use often.
The trees are painted with watercolor gouache I liked the results for the most part (click to enlarge for better viewing)
Enjoy your Wednesday (or Thursday if you live abroad)

Very nicely done my friend. I see that you used different types of brush strokes. Keep painting.
ReplyDeletethank you for the positivity
DeleteOn the right path with your trees
ReplyDeleteTree personalities take practice. Brush stroke control is a fun experience.

DeleteI've been woodburning this evening after a day with the Littlest GrandLittle... I'm a little pooped.. I think its interesting how all your trees are different ... I just love how they turned out.. I'd like to learn to paint the different trees... Like how to paint an oak tree or pine or willow so you would know that, thats what type of tree it is.. I'm so happy to see you painting! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sounds like the little ones are keeping you super busy-hugs that would be cool to achieve-the different trees I am working on not over thinking the painting-just be spontanious. I think I will prepare another background-so it's ready to go
DeleteWhat a great way to spend the evening, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteYes it was with this painting thank you
DeleteHoly moly! I was concerned that you had not been posting, but just now I found my bookmark stopped with the page I had placed it on. I Am now aware and will be watching. I can’t comment on all your art but will say I really like your framed painting. Again, I’m thinking Folk Art. Keep going!
ReplyDeleteA thought…Larry may qualify for hospice in-home care. They would send someone to check on him at home. Have you checked on that for him?
Barb
Yes we work with Integrity Home Care he has used them off and on when he first came home from hosp-he had a nurse, and he has also had physical therapy-- but we may need to get a nurse back in. We have appts to see the new family doctor. I am going in next week and Larry's is early April-we usually go together but that makes it too long for Larry now-he is very weak as his heart issues worsen
DeleteKathy so good to see your paintings. Know we did not get the blizzard...like you we dodged this North Easter one. In fact we were in the 40's today and sunny. Going to turn cold again but we are at least seeing warmer temperatures off and on. Be careful and stay safe friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, so glad you didn't get that big winter storm-the east has had a lot of winter this year. no snow here-up and down temperatures-but that's ok-hugs
DeleteI love that you are painting. It's so healing!
ReplyDeleteThese trees are fun!
