Good morning, Lots of sunshine, cooler weather today-much cooler with the strong winds-and white caps on the lake. No snow though or ice.
Which always makes me smile to see white caps on a man made lake haha. When I snapped this photo the wind wasn't as strong so not as many caps in this photo. Most of the morning-the whole lake had the white caps. Photo will enlarge just click on it
I did get a food shopping trip in yesterday, but I need to go into the other town as well-soon. Not today though with this strong wind.
I picked up a nice adult coloring book with a Christmas theme while shopping at Wal Mart. It even had several pages of instructions with the color wheel etc-which I thought was nice. I really need to take time to understand that color wheel better. Especially for mixing colors. The book featured colored pencils and watercolor pencils-I have both. Those pages were really a nice feature in this book, which I have not seen before.
I found it for sale online as well-so I could share a photo easier
I have not started baking or candy making as of yet-thinking early next week for that. I won't do much at all this year. With the acid reflux issue no chocolate for me or sugar or dairy and our neighbor that loves chocolate is leaving for Florida next week and will stay til March or later-so I may just make her some chocolate treats when she gets back for Easter.
I love peanut brittle which I make for a friend but with the acid reflux that is out as well as anything with sugar in it. No wonder I can not get weight back on. smiles.
Enjoy the rest of your week

Christmas card on its way to you... mailed yesterday! woot woot! I wish you could find a medication you were willing to take that would help your acid reflux to bring back some enjoyment of food for you.. Right or wrong hubby has been on omeprazole for years with no side effects... Maybe you have time to make your friend some chocolate treats to take with her? Glad you both are warm and safe.. .I tried some more water coloring on your Christmas card... ooohhhh boy.. lol Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, Have you gotten my card and letter yet? I sent them out early December.
DeleteThe two medicines I was taking just weren't helping me-my chest was always burning. the main problem now is I can' t keep weight on-losing pounds again-no fats, no sugars, no acid foods difficult to stop losing weight.
I was thinking about making chocolate treats too for my friend-I will see how this weekend is. Have fun making your Christmas cards! Hugs
No i have not received your card or letter :( I did notice the other day that our regular mailman must be on vacation... I do notice that sometimes when he comes back i get a wad of mail...like the new guy doesn't know what to do with it.. The mail system out here stinks... The regular guy seems to know what he's doing but anyone filling in is lost.. I haven't checked the mail today but i'll keep my eye out.. ! Hugs! deb
Deletethanks I had not read anyone receiving my cards or letters yet I mailed them out first of December
DeleteYour card is on its way.
ReplyDeleteThank You I will look for it I went my international cards out the first of December
DeleteWhite caps on the lake near me were at least 5 ft yesterday. Our river was pretty much calm which is a good thing for our dock. I have not even started my Christmas cards yet and need to get moving on them. Have fun with your coloring book. Janice
ReplyDeleteWow that is really high-it was crazy this morning early not that high. I did my christmas cards and letters early this year-thank you I enjoy relaxing with a coloring book once in awhile-I then use some of them for letter writing on the backs
DeleteI only get acid reflux occasionally, but I've had luck with papaya enzymes. They help break down proteins, which reduces my indigestion.
ReplyDeleteThank you sooo much will check into it I do better with natural things not medicine
DeleteI have had acid reflux but thankfully rarely. Beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteHi I lever had heard of this before-my digestive system seems pretty messed up sadly
DeleteLove that first photo. Ohhhh adult coloring books are so much fun.
ReplyDeleteGood evening, really enjoy them
DeleteThat looks like a fun coloring book Kathy. Perfect for December. And we've had a lot of wind too. I don't ever remember so much wind that's been fairly common since November. I also haven't started any baking, but definitely next week. I don't need to be eating all those treats for 2 weeks. Grin. However, they'll be nice to have for the holiday. I hope it doesn't stay too cold for you, but the wind dies down. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletewas thinking too that either of us don't need too many sweets I do want to make the gingerbread cookies though. It has been chilly again but the wind has moved on thanks I find the coloring books relaxing-Happy rest of your week
DeleteWe have a lot of windy days most weeks and today was particularly awful since I was out walking on 3 separate times. We don’t have whitecaps on the Nashua River, but the wind was making a lot of ripples on the water. The coloring book should be a fun project for cold days ahead.
ReplyDeleteGood morning I don't like wind at all makes me nervous. I think because I grew up in tornado area-and when we were kids we needed go down in the basement-never got hit though thank goodness.
DeleteI was so surprised to see coloring instructions in the beginning
Happy weekend
Oh, hope you find something against that acid reflux! It´s been years I had a cold, now Ingo presented me with one, oh, my.... So, reckon we can shake hands, kinda ;-) Looking forward to see more of the color-book - have a day as good as can be, hugs to you and the windy lake.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Iris I have not had a cold either in years-thank goodness You two get well soon
DeleteI am really liking this coloring book-I does not lie flat though so may need to break the spine somehow. Happy weekend
Your diet sounds a lot like mine! I am quite the carnivore and could well eat with the wolves! 🥴 Mary @Hilltop post
ReplyDeleteHugs I sooo miss our wolf Nikita at times-she was so special
DeleteWow! It’s windy here too but no lake nearby. However, in days gone by when we lived on a lake we just didn’t go boating if the water was so stirred up. Better boating weather will come. Get well, winter is hard!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara I agree winter can be difficult and hard-hugs
