Good afternoon,
We are headed into bitter cold again-but don't think any snow so far. However a big warm up again next week. I may just bake or make up some chocolate goodies.
I am concerned about what happened to my big stack of Christmas postcards I mailed out on December first. I asked a couple friends and no one has received them. I also mailed out letters to my slow mail friends.
I purposely mailed out early thinking they would go through the mail before the big push. Today is the 12th day since they were mailed.
Sooo slow mail friends let me know if you received mail from me. Thank you. I don't expect the international letters to be where they are going just yet.
Caching up with laundry today and tomorrow want to finish up with the house cleaning. That's all from me just now.
Enjoy your weekend hugs from the lake
I did receive mail from you a snoopy card
ReplyDeleteawesome
DeleteI fear slow mail may not last much longer. Sadly the US Post Office is starting to feel antiquated for many people. Communication by computers seems to have taken over.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Larry a joyous Christmas and a very happy new year!
I know many don't do letters-but I enjoy it over the computer, and I have several slow mail friends that we write letters to each other during the year. I always loved mail in my "real" mailbox-
DeleteMerry Christmas and happy New Year to you and yours as well hugs
Ooops, that was from me, Barb
ReplyDeleteLast year my brother never got his Christmas card. Then lo and behold, in March of this year he received it. We still joke about it now and wonder when he will get this years one. The mail is horrible, but I guess you need to laugh instead of get mad. Janice
ReplyDeleteOh Wow that's pretty crazy Not sure what is going on with the post office these days-I know they are losing money even though they keep increasing the prices. I think they pay too high for salaries in the top positions
DeleteIt's been a very cold month here in New Hampshire so far. I hope your cold weather doesn't last even as long as ours has. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGood evening Erika, we are going down to 0 this weekend so a very cold weekend-and then sometime next week back to the 50's haha Missouri can be so up and down some years.
DeleteStay warm-hugs
Oh. Hope my slow mail goes through! My postie even was willing for once to use Christmassy-stamps!
ReplyDeleteKinda warm here with 9C / 48F... So... warm hugs to you and the lake!
Good morning Iris, I have not had any issues receiving mail as this seem unusual for my christmas cards not to be delivered as of yet International sometimes goes through really fast.
Deleteenjoy the warmer weather-we will be warmer again next week-just bitter cold now for a few days enjoy your weathr-hugs
I have not received any mail from you of late... checked my mail yesterday... I suppose i should not have any hope now that my Christmas cards will reach their destination in time for Christmas.. as some of them are just getting mailed now.. maybe i should turn the last few into 'New Years cards' ..lol I will let you know as soon as i see something in the mail.. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI mailed out vintage postcards this year-stamped them etc so I am not happy they are not getting delivered-they were the right size for a postcard too-and I mailed the slow mail letters mid first week in december-so I am not happy with the post office sigh
DeleteIt's nice today but we have been in an atmospheric river. Cold and more than wet. Hope all your cards get delivered.
ReplyDeleteThank you me too that my cards got delivered we are super cold today but warm up tomorrow
DeleteTo answer your question, Kathy, I have not received any slow-mail from you for the holiday season. I have noticed that either people are not sending holiday cards or the mail is indeed very slow as we have not received many cards to date. I mailed my own out early after we returned from our Thanksgiving getaway. Hopefully, it made it to your home.
ReplyDeleteThanks I wonder what is going on with the post office-to not get our mail delivered. I called one of my long time friends that lives in northern Illinois and she did get my card right away but my other friend in southern Illinois did not. I was thinking of calling the post office but there is no way to track letters and postcards so am frustrated about this. thanks for letting me know
DeleteI love ❤️ the illustration, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda-hugs
DeleteNo, I haven't gotten your note. Stay warm! We are getting a bit of a warm up too, later this week.
ReplyDeletethanks for letting me know-hopefully the post office did not lose them glad you are getting a warm up too
DeleteIt seems that mail delivery is very random nowadays. I sometimes get the mail for my neighbors and they sometimes get mine (different neighbors). All the items that I ship out from my shop I send with tracking - so far there have been no problems and I hope it stays like this. Some packages take longer than others and there is no way to see why. I hope all your Christmas mail will eventually reach their recipients.
ReplyDeleteThank you I am hoping so too I use tracking as well if I send a package
DeleteHappy Baking. Delivery these days is sorta hit and miss. Even with bigger packages. In our area, it's hit or miss.
