Good morning Sunday,
We have another lovely autumn day today. Full sunshine and no wind-I like that. Much cooler then yesterday-but no complaints especially since we are into November.
Still enjoying watching the waterfowl on the lake-ducks, geese, pelicans and soon we will see the diving ducks migrating in.
This morning I wanted to make another autumn watercolor inspired by our lake here. I am liking this one better-I never plan out ahead of time what I am going to try to paint-just a theme or an idea.
I am hoping to paint at least once a week going forward. (the photo will enlarge-just click on it)
Yesterday Larry sent me a link to check out. Freeze dried foods in #10 cans. and they had a big sale going on as well. The produce has not been great here-do to the drought and high heat-so I decided to buy some. I chose, sweet peas, broccoli, green beans, strawberries, bananas, mushrooms and cauliflower The blueberries were too expensive or I would have gotten those too. With just the two of us and Larry not eating much these days-I am hoping this will cut down waste from fresh produce.
Enjoy your day

This is a stunning landscape. You are so good with watercolors.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement I want to get better
DeleteLovely painting
ReplyDeleteThank you Happy new week
DeleteGreat painting, Kathy. Cutting down on food waste is a wonderful thing. That's what I work on here by the way I store stuff and process it. It's a neat thing to make stuff streeeeeeetch.
ReplyDeleteYes when we were much younger we raised a lot of our own food-chickens, ducks, hogs and beef, and I huge garden and canned froze and dehydrated Loved the process. I am not set up for it here at the lake
DeleteThat's very cool that you had that.
DeleteI loved the whole process of raising most of our foods.
DeleteIt is nice. Agreed.
DeleteYour watercolor captured your lake very well. Kudos to you. Janice
ReplyDeleteThank you have a good week ahead

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn-art.
Ingo had 2/3 of a Bratwurst on Friday!!! Left me with 1/3, but that is worth it!!! Hugs to you and the lake.
Brrr that sounds awful-I do Not like strong winds-- scary glad you are ok hugs
DeleteThat's a beautiful painting, Kathy. I really like your new blog design...easy to read because of new font you use. The old blog had a different font and sometimes I was struggling to read.
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie, I liked the written script but I agree this is much easier to read- hugs
DeleteThanks for the link to your new blog, Kathy, and I will updated my sidebar list. Hope this one works out and that the third try is a charm as the saying goes. Making soup is a good way for menot to waste fresh produce.
ReplyDeleteHi, so far this blog is working well-thank goodness it was a struggle for sure. what helped too was not approving comments-that helped the comment section work better. If I get a spam I can delete it
Deleteagree soup is a great way to use up fresh produce
