Photos of Garden

I did a lot of work yesterday pulling lots and lots of weeds in different areas. I made a huge dent getting rid of those weeds. So much so my body says Noooo for today haha. This would be the perfect morning too as it is very cloudy no wind and we are expecting lots of rain again. I did get my new lavender plant in the ground though, and grabbed the camera

Larry always pushed me to buy mostly perennials instead of the annuals I like to buy. Here at the lake I did just that, and with that water leak issue resolved from the well, and all that chocolate mint dug up and gone-my perennials are looking awesome this spring. I even spotted a couple of the milkweed plants that I had started from seed. I need to grow more of those to bring in more of the butterflies. (the photos will enlarge just click on them) With the cooler weather these iris's are lasting a long time-love that

We have lots of wild violets here so I don't dig those out.

I planted the new lavender plant in front of one of the rock hills we made-plenty of room to spread out in this area Will watch to see what happens with those hard rains and in the big copper pot is the new bee balm plant.

My Mom's tiger lilies are blooming

When I was outdoors with my camera was hoping to catch the orioles-they are too smart though and know I am there-but this little bird had no issues with me. We also see the downy woodpecker and others enjoying the nectar too, along with are one hummingbird pair.

I don't remember the names of my perennials but there are lots in this area and to the right are the daffodils. I need to buy some tulip bulbs this fall

Another view of the tiger lilies

We have so many orioles now that I have 3 large feeders here and the one on the small poll I can watch the orioles from my kitchen window while washing dishes. There is a screen on the window too so will not work to take a photo there. I think the cooler weather and rain are keeping them here longer than usual.

Happy Friday and weekend
