Early last evening the rain came in as did very strong wind-The winds are still here strong and howling at 10 am this morning. It's been in this area since late yesterday afternoon From my window I do not see any damages around me. A good thing as we have a couple large dead trees that need to be sawed down.
I have not painted in awhile so last evening I started out with acrylics and added a bit of watercolor paints. This morning a little more watercolor added along with a wolf stamp-so guessing this is a mixed media piece. Smiles I love wolves so this stamp makes me happy. Years ago we rescued a wolf pup that was being abused-she was like a daughter to us-still miss her. She lived a long life with us.
I keep attempting to paint an early spring mountain scene. This one is a little better-trying to show snow is melting. I need to search for a you tube video for painting mountains-if you know of one please share.
(photos will enlarge for better viewing-just click on them)
If this storm is coming your way-be safe and Happy Friday

Your stitches are so intricate and lovely. No winds here, but we had rain off an on yesterday. Thankfully the bad weather stayed to the south of our state. Hope things calm down for you. Janice
ReplyDeleteThank you Janice I thought the winds moved on but I guess they just slowed for a bit-we are back to strong blowing winds again. It is March-smiles Glad you missed all the bad weather-Happy Friday and weekend.

ReplyDeleteHow cool that you had a wolf, pup.
Dear Kathy, your painting reminds me of "Dances with Wolves" by Kevin Costner; I recently rewatched the film... so nice!
