We have been spoiled with two days of very warm weather, today much cooler with lots of rain, thinking we will miss the bad storms coming through. Seems a bit early for tornadoes already-but they hit areas of Illinois that we are familiar with last night.
I finished the first area on my third bag this morning. Going forward with the bags I have a mish mash of different fabrics-some gifted to me, some I bought on Etsy, still a few of my own hand dyes, and Kantha fabrics to choose from. I finished an area that the fabric is probably a polyester-I don't usually work with fabrics like that but the dyer had an assortment in her hand dyed collection.
When working on the last bag I had bought an assortment of plastic shapes used for quilting. I liked that each package had a large one down to a small one. The one I used here was like a flower or a circle with scalloped edges. With the background colors on this hand dyed piece not sure the design will show up-but I liked the results.
(photos will enlarge just click on them)
I totally forgot to take photos of my last bag-but my friend that I gifted the second bag to took gorgeous photos of it can view here These look so professional
Soon I will open up the box with my new battery lawn mower-with all this rain and warm weather we have been getting I will need to try it out soon.
Happy Mid-Week
